About

Sara Hewett  MCSP HCPC ACPAT Cat A

After qualifying in human physiotherapy from St George's University of London, Sara then went on to study Veterinary Physiotherapy at Hartpury College.

During this time she also worked as a groom for the British Equestrian Federation BEF chairman at his dressage stud looking after his horses and then she went on to ride for Drewmain stud breaking in, bringing on and schooling the young horses. Sara also worked as a freelance rider for a showjumping yard helping to school the horses and also qualified and competed in the Badminton dressage championship.

Sara has a good riding background having been trained by top international riders and trainers. This, together with her prefessional therapeutic background works well to enhance performance and rehabilitation of horses and riders of all levels . Now as a senior Veterinary Physiotherapist and an FEI permitted therapist, Sara works alongside many of the Vets throughout the area to help rehabilitate injured horses and enhance their recovery.

Continual Training - CPD

As part of Sara's continual development she is required to undertake  research, courses and talks which enable her to keep up to date with latest techniques and treatments. This is a necessity in order for Sara to be registered with the Association Of Chartered Physiotherapist in animal Therapy (ACPAT). We believe that this continual development is absolutely essential in becoming a successful Veterinary Physiotherapist.

Training sessions -

Sara does talks, clinics and demos throughout the year so have a look on our facebook page for all forthcoming dates. You can also email if you require any training sessions and we will try to accommodate.
